Les Coflocs is a video production team of two French guys Laurent and Florian. They specialize in filming corporate movies and documentaries about travelling.

I had met them in New Delhi while they were shooting their acclaimed documentary “Generation Expat”. They were interviewing successful French expats scattered around the globe. Their next documentary was called “Generation Around the World” and their plan was to film French people who left everything behind to travel the world.

They contacted me to make the website of their movie and the main goal was to build excitement about that new film.

Features of the filmmaker website

– Interactive animated world-map. Each time they traveled to a new country I would update the map and link to their blog article

– Live Twitter and Instagram Feed with anecdotes about the movie

– Video teaser and full feature

– Calendar for the cinema premieres with tickets link

– E-commerce shop to buy movie memorabilia (DVD, posters…)

Outcomes of the project

Generation Around the World website was visited by dozens of thousands of visitors throughout the shooting of the film. The interactive map was particularly liked by the users as it was a fun and creative way to follow the adventures of the two filmmakers.

One of the success of the digital strategy was to constantly update the website and social media with fresh content. Les Coflocs would usually send me the content whenever they would travel to anew country.

The movie itself was a great success with almost half a million views and it is now a cult movie for every French traveler who would like to travel around the world.

I am looking forward to working again with them for their next movie, Generation Vanlife!
