UX UI Designing & Prototyping

As a UX UI Designer and lecturer I have been overlooking more than 50 mobile apps projects designed by my students. So, when I am contacted by a client to design a mobile app, I apply the same Design Thinking principles that I am teaching.

Each mobile app is supposed to solve a problem that the user faces. Be it to order a lunch order a cab… My main focus when it comes to designing a mobile app is to make sure this app solves this problem in the most simple and effective manner.

If you’re looking for a UX UI designer who has an entrepreneurial mindset and  understands exactly how disruptive your app should be, let’s discuss! I will not code the application but deliver an actual interactive prototype that you can use on your phone. In other words, this will help you pitch for funds or find an agency to develop your app at a lower cost.

Case Study: mobile app design for La Lunchbox Bangkok

La Lunchbox is a catering service that delivers lunches to offices. The concept is quite different from the usual food delivery apps. In fact the uniqueness is that the lunch set is fixed every day. So the user has to choose whether he/she is interested in ordering it for that specific day or not. To that matter, the weekly menu should be easy to browse.

Then for each day the user has a choice to make: which item does he/she want to order from the menu. Therefore, the user has the choice of either ordering the 3 course meal or removing items from it (starter, main course, dessert). In this example I really want to add a gamification aspect in the app. Lunch shouldn’t be boring, so as a UX UI designer I wanted it to reflect in the way the user places an order. Have a look at the following video where you can see some dating-app like animations to enhance the user experience and make ordering lunch fun!
